Shahar Lilia Griffin

Dr. Shahar Lilia Griffin is a researcher and lecturer originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. At 36 years old, she has made a significant impact with her work on Japanese culture, particularly through her immersive research experiences. As a single mother to a young child, Griffin has spent several years in Japan, mastering the language and earning her doctoral degree from Kyoto University. She recently published a book titled 'The Family from Mount Fuji,' which details her experiences living with the Sakuya community, a group she describes as a cult-like family dedicated to spiritual development and sustainable agriculture.
