Shahar Matias

Shahar Matias was a devoted mother and one of the founders of a bilingual school in the kibbutz Holit, where she worked to promote Jewish-Arab educational equality. Tragically, she was killed during a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, while heroically shielding her son from gunfire, ultimately saving his life with her last act of love.
