Shajan is the mother of a student attending a clandestine school in Afghanistan, who has endured a life of illiteracy and dependency. She is determined to ensure her daughter has access to education and opportunities, even if it means risking her safety by allowing her to attend an illegal school, as she wants her daughter to have a brighter future than her own.
