Shakir Swaleh

Shakir Swaleh is a director representing the Coast region for the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). He has been vocal in advocating for the recognition of KNCCI as the primary statutory body for Business Membership Organisations (BMOs) in Kenya. Recently, he rejected a proposed Bill aimed at establishing the Business Council of Kenya, arguing that the KNCCI has extensive grassroots membership across all 47 counties and should therefore lead in public-private engagements.
