Shameeza Mohamed, a 40-year-old domestic violence survivor, was tragically beaten to death by her daughter’s partner after she intervened to protect her daughter from abuse. Having previously endured violence herself, she was recently highlighted in the media for her struggles, including health issues and financial difficulties, which led to her receiving support from the Ministry of Housing, including a government-provided house lot.
