Shaneaka Gibbs

Shaneaka Gibbs is a Grenadian dance instructor and choreographer known for her dedication to traditional Grenadian dance styles and her recent efforts to incorporate elements of Surinamese culture into her work. After spending three weeks in Suriname, she was impressed by the country's cultural diversity and the talent of its dancers. With a background in various dance forms, including jazz, ballet, and Caribbean folklore, Gibbs is a Senior Company Member and Dance Captain of L'Acadco: A United Caribbean Dance Force. She believes that dance is more than just movement; it is a mindset, and she encourages her students to excel through hard work and discipline.
