Shannika Greene

Shannika Greene, 20, is a young adult carer from Co Roscommon who cares for five siblings with additional needs. She co-organized the National Young Carers Conference to raise awareness about the responsibilities and challenges faced by young carers. Greene aims to highlight the emotional, financial, and mental impacts of caregiving on young people and is advocating for increased support in schools and youth services for families with additional needs.
