Shapoor Zadran

Shapoor Zadran was a former Afghanistan fast bowler who played a significant role in the history of Afghan cricket. He represented Afghanistan in 44 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 36 T20 matches from 2009 to 2020, taking a total of 80 wickets. One of his most memorable moments came during the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, when he scored the winning runs against Scotland, marking Afghanistan's first victory in the tournament. Zadran is remembered as a foundational figure in the development of cricket in Afghanistan, known for his dedication and passion for the sport. He passed away at the age of 38 while battling a rare immune condition.
