Shapour Bakhtiar
Shapour Bakhtiar was the last Prime Minister of Iran under the Pahlavi regime, appointed in January 1979 in an attempt to stabilize the monarchy during the Iranian Revolution. Following the revolution's success, he fled to France, where he continued to oppose the newly established Islamic Republic. Bakhtiar founded the National Resistance Movement and sought support from foreign powers, including Saddam Hussein's Iraq, to challenge the regime in Iran. His actions, including his collaboration with external forces, led to his portrayal as a traitor by many Iranians. Bakhtiar was assassinated in Paris in 1991, symbolizing the fate of those who aligned against the Iranian state.
