Sharon Mooney

Sharon Mooney, a former garda from Cobh Garda station in Cork, was recently awarded €458,000 by the High Court due to injuries sustained during an assault by a prisoner while on duty in December 2015. The injuries led to chronic pain syndrome and significant lifestyle changes, ultimately resulting in her medical discharge from the Garda in 2022.
