Shavkat Navruzovich Rahmonov

Shavkat Navruzovich Rahmonov recently made headlines when he was relieved of his duties as the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the head of the Operational-Search Department, a position he held since February 2023. His dismissal, announced by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov during the introduction of the new Minister of Internal Affairs, Aziz Toshpolotov, followed criticisms of his performance. Prior to this role, Rahmonov served as the head of the Namangan Regional Internal Affairs Department and, before that, led the Samarkand Regional Internal Affairs Department.
