Shen Ching-fen is the newly appointed director-general of the Health Promotion Administration (HPA) in Taiwan, succeeding Wu Chao-chun. With a strong academic background and experience as the director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division at National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Shen is expected to continue the HPA's commitment to public health and tobacco control, particularly in addressing the challenges posed by heated tobacco products.
