Sherwan Sherwan Sergeli is a 50-year-old farmer from the village of Sergele in Iraqi Kurdistan, where he has cultivated the land for generations. His livelihood, dependent on agriculture and foraging, is now under threat due to the encroachment of Turkish military bases in the region, which he describes as a form of occupation of Kurdish lands.
