Sheryl Swoopes

Sheryl Swoopes is a former professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of women's basketball. A three-time WNBA MVP and a member of the WNBA's All-Decade Team, Swoopes played a pivotal role in elevating the profile of women's sports during her career, which spanned from 1997 to 2011. Known for her scoring ability and defensive prowess, she won four WNBA championships with the Houston Comets and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2017.
