Sheyla

Sheyla, originally from Tacabamba, Peru, migrated to Lima to complete her education. After moving in with her aunt in Puente Piedra, she pursued cosmetology and worked informally in a local hair salon. Recently, she secured a formal position as a stylist assistant in San Isidro, marking a significant improvement in her working conditions. For the first time, she has a bank account and has learned to use mobile payment apps. Despite her success, Sheyla faces challenges, such as long commutes and leaving her children alone, prompting her to consider purchasing a motorcycle to ease her daily transport burdens.
