Shiva Kahar

Shiva Kahar is a resident of Chaurai block in Madhya Pradesh, India, who was convicted of killing his pregnant wife, Kiran, during a domestic argument. His actions were prompted by a remark made by Kiran, which he interpreted as a grave provocation. Initially sentenced to life imprisonment, his sentence was later reduced to seven years by the Madhya Pradesh High Court, which found that the killing was not premeditated.
