Shlomo Doktorman z'l was a dedicated Israeli firefighter and military reservist who served his community with valor during challenging times. Born in Kiryat Shmona to Holocaust survivor parents, he joined the paratroopers and fought in the Lebanon War before embarking on a distinguished career in firefighting. Over the years, he held various positions within the firefighting service in the north, becoming renowned for his bravery, particularly during the tense periods of conflict when he would respond to emergencies in the front lines. His heroic actions included saving a baby from a burning building, showcasing his commitment to protecting lives. After retiring, he continued to contribute by volunteering in the IDF and serving in high-risk areas, earning recognition for his dedication and courage.
