Shmerit Or

Shmerit Or, born in Jerusalem and raised in Jaffa and Haifa, is a prominent Israeli lyricist and playwright known for her contributions to Hebrew music. The daughter of poet Yaakov Orland, she has penned some of the most beloved songs in Israeli culture, including the Eurovision-winning 'Hallelujah' in 1979.
