Shole Rezazade

Shole Rezazade (1989) is an Iranian-Dutch author who writes in both Dutch and Persian. After relocating from Iran to the Netherlands in 2015, she began crafting prose and poetry. Her debut novel, 'The Sky is Always Purple,' earned her the debut award from the Dutch Writers' Society in 2022. Her second novel, 'I Know a Mountain Awaits Me,' published in 2023, received special recognition from the European Union Prize for Literature in 2024. Rezazade also writes columns for a Dutch daily newspaper, weaving her rich cultural experiences into her literary work.
