Sigurborg Kristín Stefánsdóttir has recently been appointed as the director of the Strategy and Budget Office in the Ministry of Infrastructure. She has extensive management experience in both the public and private sectors, having served as the acting director at the Ministry since October and as deputy director since March 2024. Her previous roles include serving as the financial manager at the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies from 2017 to 2023, and operational manager at the Ministry of the Interior from 2011 to 2017. Sigurborg has a strong educational background, holding an MBA from the University of Iceland and a B.Ed. from the Iceland University of Education.
