He faced challenges in securing a teaching position after his education, which led him to work in Bosnia and Herzegovina before settling in Sarajevo. His notable works include poetry collections such as 'Bugarkinje', 'Izabrane pjesme', and 'Trzaji'. Kranjčević was also an influential editor of the literary magazine 'Nada' and translated numerous works from German and English into Croatian. He passed away on October 29, 1908, in Sarajevo, leaving behind a lasting legacy in Croatian literature.
