Simon Denhere

Simon Denhere is the interim Country Director for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Malawi. He was recently in the news for overseeing the logistics of a significant maize procurement initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity in the country. The WFP, in collaboration with the Malawian government, has procured 47,693 metric tons of maize from Tanzania to support vulnerable households affected by natural disasters and economic challenges. Denhere's role is pivotal in ensuring that the relief maize is effectively transported and distributed to the millions of people in need across Malawi.
