Sinoya Phiri

Sinoya Phiri is a 52-year-old farmer from Shimabala, Zambia, who has dedicated half of his life to agriculture and livestock. He cultivates maize, tomatoes, and soybeans on his 3.5 hectares of land while raising pigs for local markets. Despite his success in building a home and purchasing vehicles, he faces challenges due to Zambia's economic crisis and rising costs since the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the government's removal of subsidies affecting agricultural viability.
