Sintiki Tarfa Ugbe

Dr. Sintiki Tarfa Ugbe is the Director of Humanitarian and Social Affairs at the ECOWAS Commission. She recently spoke at the launch of the 2024 WENDU Regional Report in The Gambia, highlighting the ongoing challenges in addressing substance use disorders in West Africa. Under her leadership, the ECOWAS Commission has focused on capacity building and investment in treatment facilities to improve access to care for individuals struggling with drug use disorders.
