Siobhán Johnson is a PhD student at the University of Cambridge and the British Antarctic Survey, specializing in sea ice research. Inspired by Al Gore's documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth,' she is dedicated to understanding the impacts of climate change on marine environments. Johnson's work focuses on improving satellite measurements of sea ice thickness, which is crucial for understanding its role in ocean heat absorption and the Antarctic food chain. This is her fifth expedition to Antarctica, where she continues to find excitement in studying the dynamic and changing nature of sea ice.
