Sir Ian Diamond

Sir Ian Diamond is the National Statistician for the United Kingdom and is responsible for overseeing the Office for National Statistics. With a strong background in academia and statistics, he has dedicated his career to improving the accuracy and reliability of national data. Recently, he acknowledged issues with the labor force survey conducted by the ONS and has committed to introducing a new, more accurate data series, although he cautioned it may take until 2027 to fully realize.
