Sir John Wolfenden

Sir John Wolfenden (1906-2002) was an English educator and author best known for his pivotal role in the decriminalization of homosexuality in the UK. As the chairman of the 1957 Wolfenden Committee, he led an inquiry that recommended the decriminalization of consensual homosexual acts between adults.
