Sir Wayne (Buck) Shelford

Sir Wayne 'Buck' Shelford is a former New Zealand rugby player and current national president of the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association (RNZRSA). He is widely recognized for his contributions to rugby, having captained the All Blacks during a successful period in the late 1980s. In his role with the RNZRSA, Shelford advocates for veterans' rights and recognizes the importance of addressing historical injustices faced by Māori veterans within the organization. Recently, he has been involved in discussions regarding the constitutional changes within the RNZRSA, particularly in relation to the acknowledgment of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
