Skyler Blackie

Skyler Blackie was a dedicated firefighter from Truro, Nova Scotia, who tragically lost his life during a training exercise at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in March 2019. His death, caused by a malfunctioning rusted extinguisher, has since prompted serious discussions about the safety and governance of firefighter training in the province.
