Slamet Suradio bin Karyorejo

Slamet Suradio, a 47-year-old train driver, was involved in one of Indonesia's most tragic railway accidents known as the Bintaro I tragedy on October 19, 1987. He was operating train KA 225 when it collided head-on with another train, resulting in the deaths of 129 people. Following the incident, Suradio was deemed primarily responsible and sentenced to five years in prison, a conviction he later sought to appeal.
