
Slavjanka Vlahcheva
Slavjanka Vlahcheva was a pioneering figure in Macedonian healthcare, recognized as the first educated nurse in Macedonia. Known affectionately as the 'Macedonian girl in white', she played a significant role in the National Liberation Movement and participated in the Fourteenth Macedonian Youth Brigade during the liberation of Skopje. After the war, she founded the nursing school in Skopje in 1945 and served as its first director, also being active in the Red Cross of Macedonia.
