Sofia Cerqueira Borges

Sofia Cerqueira Borges is the granddaughter of Francisco Tenório Cerqueira Júnior, a Brazilian pianist who was murdered by the Argentine dictatorship in 1976. At 25 years old, she represents her family's long struggle for recognition and justice regarding her grandfather's death, recently acknowledged by the Brazilian government with the issuance of an official death certificate.
