Sofía Cruz Betanco

Sofía Cruz Betanco is the Executive Director of the Honduran Foundation for Hepatic Health (FUNHEPA), where she plays a pivotal role in advocating for the rights and health of individuals with common and rare liver diseases in Honduras. Under her leadership, FUNHEPA has become a significant entity in promoting awareness, education, and policy advocacy related to rare diseases. She is also the organizer of the II International Congress on Rare Diseases, which aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to improve the diagnosis and treatment of rare conditions in the region.
