Sofia Ferdinand

Sofia Ferdinand, Archduchess of Austria, was the wife of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. She accompanied her husband on his ill-fated visit to Sarajevo on June 28, 1914, where both were assassinated by Gavrilo Princip. Their deaths are widely considered a catalyst for the outbreak of World War I.
