Sohrab Barkat

Sohrab Barkat is a young journalist from Azad Kashmir who has recently come into the spotlight after being detained by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) at Islamabad Airport, just before he was scheduled to attend a United Nations climate conference in Brazil. His arrest has raised concerns over press freedom and the treatment of journalists in Pakistan, especially given that he was previously invited to the conference based on his academic work on climate change.
