Somchai Sapyan is a project manager and engineer involved in the construction of the new office building for the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand (สตง.), which collapsed on March 28. He has been under investigation following an extensive inquiry regarding the building's structural integrity and the alterations made to the construction plans.
