Somodale Akamo is the Iyaloja of Kemta Adire/Kampala Market in Abeokuta, Nigeria, known for her leadership in the traditional Adire fabric trade. Recently, she gained attention for vehemently opposing Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke's claim that Adire originated from Osun, asserting that the craft is historically rooted in Egba land.
