Sonia ‘Sunny’ Jacobs was a former death row inmate who spent 16 years in prison for a murder she did not commit. After her release in 1992, she became an advocate against the death penalty, founding the Sunny Centre with her husband, Peter Pringle, who also experienced wrongful imprisonment. The couple lived in Connemara, Ireland, where they found peace and tranquility, until their tragic deaths in a house fire in 2023.
