Sonny Randhawa

Sonny Randhawa is a seasoned regulatory professional, currently serving as the executive vice-president of regulatory operations at the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). With nearly two decades of experience in various roles at the OSC, he has been instrumental in enhancing regulatory integrity and public trust in Canada's capital markets. Randhawa is set to become the new chief executive officer of the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) on March 2, 2026, succeeding Carol Paradine. His appointment comes at a time when CPAB is striving for greater transparency in the audit industry, following recent scrutiny of audit firms' performance. Randhawa holds CPA designations in both Canada and Illinois and has previously worked at BDO Canada.
