Sophon Mekthan

Dr. Sophon Mekthan is the chairman of the National Health Commission, actively involved in discussions on public health policies aimed at reducing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in Thailand. Recently, he has been in the news for proposing innovative strategies to integrate fitness initiatives with the government's economic stimulus program, 'Khon La Khreung', to encourage citizens to engage in regular exercise.
