Annika Sörenstam is a retired Swedish professional golfer who is often considered one of the greatest female golfers of all time. Over her illustrious career, she won 10 major championships and is known for her exceptional skill and competitive spirit on the LPGA Tour. Sörenstam was the first woman to play in a PGA Tour event in 58 years when she competed in the 2003 Bank of America Colonial, and she retired in 2008 with a record of 72 LPGA Tour victories, making her a trailblazer for women in golf.
