Sorin Mihail Bochiș

Sorin Mihail Bochiș was a seasoned pilot from Timișoara, Romania, known for his extensive flying experience and resilience in the face of adversity. At 59 years old, he tragically lost his life in a small aircraft accident in Orăștie on July 15, 2023. Bochiș had previously survived a severe aviation accident seven years prior, where he sustained critical injuries after colliding in mid-air during a training flight, resulting in a lengthy recovery process. His passion for aviation began early, taking flight lessons at just 14 years old, and he later graduated from the Aurel Vlaicu Aviation Officers School. His career was marked by both skill and the trials that come with being a pilot.
