
Stef Wertheimer
Stef Wertheimer was a prominent Israeli industrialist and philanthropist, known as one of the founding figures of Israel's manufacturing industry. Born in 1926 in Kippenheim, Germany, he immigrated to Israel in 1937. After serving in the British Royal Air Force during World War II and later in the Palmach, he founded Iscar in 1952, which became one of the world's leading manufacturers of cutting tools. Wertheimer was also involved in various initiatives to promote industrial development in Israel, including the establishment of the Tefen Industrial Park. Throughout his career, he received numerous accolades, including the Israel Prize for his unique contributions to society and the economy.
