Stefan Muntean is a 39-year-old man from Athlone, Co Westmeath, who was recently sentenced to five years and six months in prison for money laundering and welfare fraud involving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment, having received funds from six individuals who were not residing in Ireland at the time.
