Stefan Schlegel

Stefan Schlegel is the director of Switzerland's national human rights institution, which was established to address human rights issues in line with UN recommendations. A co-founder of the political movement Operation Libero and a former member of Amnesty International's legal group, Schlegel is an advocate for climate justice and has been vocal in supporting actions against the Swiss government's response to a landmark climate ruling. His institution actively collaborates with NGOs to push for enhanced climate policies in Switzerland.
