Stephan Hashemi

Stephan Hashemi is the son of Zahra Kazemi, an Iranian-Canadian photojournalist who was murdered in Iran under suspicious circumstances. He has dedicated over a decade of his life to seeking justice for his mother's death, fighting to hold her killers accountable, and pursuing legal avenues in Canada, including a case that reached the Supreme Court of Canada. Despite the challenges posed by the State Immunity Act, Hashemi remains a determined advocate for human rights and justice.
