Stephan Vilberg Benediktson

Stephan Vilberg Benediktson, a prominent figure in the Icelandic-Canadian community, passed away in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, at the age of 92. Born on June 22, 1933, near Markerville, Alberta, he was the grandson of the renowned Icelandic poet Stephan G. Stephansson. Throughout his life, Stephan was dedicated to preserving his Icelandic heritage, establishing a publishing company that released an English biography of his grandfather in 2012, and contributing to various cultural initiatives in both Canada and Iceland.
