Stephanie Azzarello

Stephanie Azzarello is a Toronto-based art history professor whose life was transformed by a life-saving liver transplant from a living donor named Trisha. After living with a rare liver disease for over a decade, Stephanie's desperate search for a donor led her to share her story publicly, which ultimately connected her with Trisha, a stranger who felt compelled to help. Since receiving her transplant in June 2023, Stephanie has dedicated herself to advocating for organ donation awareness, using her experience to inspire others and highlight the importance of living donation.
