Stirling

Stirling is a nine-year-old boy who, along with his mother, was recently rescued after being lost in the Sierra Nevada forest in California. They became stranded for over 24 hours, relying on handwritten notes left behind to alert rescuers to their situation. Stirling's resourcefulness was highlighted when he used his Cub Scout whistle in an attempt to attract attention during their ordeal.
