Sufian Tayeh

Sufian Tayeh was a prominent Palestinian scientist and the president of the Islamic University of Gaza. Known for his mentorship and support of students, he was regarded as a father figure by many, including graduate students like Maryam, who faced immense challenges due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Tragically, he was killed in an Israeli airstrike in December 2023, along with his family, further highlighting the devastating impact of the war on the educational community in Gaza.
